RECOVERY IS THE NAME OF THE GAME.
“YOUR BODY DOES NOT GET STRONGER DURING THE WORKOUT.”
Most people understand the work part.
What most people miss is what happens after.
When you train you are breaking down muscle tissue.
When you recover-your body rebuilds it stronger than before.
Without recovery there is no growth.
Here is what proper recovery looks like:
- Sleep 7-9 hours
- Nutrition-protein within 30 minutes after training
- Hydration-half your bodyweight in ounces of water per day.
- Rest Days- 48 hours between workouts.
- Stretching-to maintain mobility.
HONOR THE RECOVERY AS MUCH AS YOU HONOR THE WORKOUT.

Most people fail at getting healthy not because they lack willpower — but because they are trying to change everything at once.
New diet. New workout. New sleep schedule. New supplements. All at the same time.
That is not discipline.
That is overwhelm dressed up as motivation.
Here is what actually works:
Pick one behavior.
Just one.
Do it consistently for 21 days.
Then add the next one.
Small consistent changes compound into dramatic results over time.
The coaching principle:
A client who makes one small change and sticks with it will always outperform a client who makes ten changes and abandons them all by week two.
Apply this today:
What is the ONE health behavior you can commit to for the next 21 days?
Master that first.

Building Functional Strength With The Flexicon Platform Trainer
One of the most important decisions I have made in my health recovery is investing in a tool that allows me to build functional strength safely and consistently.
I recently purchased a Flexicon Platform Trainer.
And here is why that decision matters for my health.
During my illness I lost significant muscle mass. Eleven months away from consistent training takes a real toll on your body. Restoring that muscle was not just about looking better or performing better as a coach.
It was about survival.
Here is what most people do not know.
Lean muscle mass is one of the most powerful tools available for managing blood sugar naturally. Muscle tissue acts like a sponge for glucose. The more lean muscle you carry the more efficiently your body processes blood sugar — reducing your A1C without medication.
My A1C dropped from 6.3 to 5.7 through intentional lifestyle changes including strength training, nutrition, and daily walking.
But I want to go lower.
That is where the Flexicon Platform Trainer comes in.
This tool allows me to:
- Build functional strength through natural movement patterns
- Restore muscle that illness took from me
- Train safely without overloading my spine
- Develop lean muscle that directly supports healthy blood sugar levels
- Move better in my daily life as a coach and as a man
This is not about vanity.
This is about function.
A stronger body processes blood sugar more efficiently.
A stronger body recovers from illness more completely.
A stronger body shows up better for the athletes and people I serve.
Functional strength is not optional for me.
It is medicine.
And I am taking my medicine every single day.

You always hold the rights to your effort but never your results. All you own is the right to try.
*Before you read my story I want you to know something important.*
This platform was never created to debate. It was never created to tell you that my way
is the only wayor that my truth is your truth.
This platform is for men. Let's Talk About The WHAT exists for one reason only - To share my story.
What I experienced. What I felt. What I walked through. What brought me back.
My hope is simple — that somewhere in my story you find a piece of your own. That something I share connects with
something you are carrying. That my journey gives you permission to believe that your journey is not over.
I am not a therapist. I am not a psychologist. I am not a medical professional giving advice.
I am a man who went through something dark and came out the other side
And I believe that story is worth telling.
If my truth encourages even one person to hold on one more day — to choose life over darkness — to cry out to God
when they have nothing left — then every word on this platform is worth it.
This is not my pulpit. This is my testimony.
Come as you are. Stay as long as you need. Take what helps you and leave the rest.
You are welcome here.
