Wellness - mental and emotional health.
Wellness is not just the absence of sickness. It is the presence of wholeness.
True wellness touches every part of who you are - your mind, your emotions, your spirit and your body. You can look healthy on the outside and be broken on the inside. Real wellness addresses both.
Wellness is where the journey begins.
Practice mindfulness. When my mind races toward the worst possible outcome I bring it back to right now. I breathe intentionally. I walk and stay present in the moment. I journal what I am feeling before it becomes something I act on. I sit quietly every morning before the noise of the day begins and I choose to be fully present in my own life. My mind goes where I train it to go — so I train it daily to stay present and peaceful.
“For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.”
I Timothy 4:8 NKJV
Health - physical health and nutrition.
Health is your most valuable asset. Yet it is the one most people neglect unti it is gone. True health is not just about how you look. It is about how you function - how you move, how you fuel your body, how you recover and how you show up every single day for the people who need you.
Health is not about being perfect. It is about being intentional - one decision at a time.
The Simple Truth. I did not need a gym membership to begin my recovery. I did not need expensive equipment. I did not need a perfect plan.
I needed thirty minutes and a pair of shoes. That is it.
If you are in a dark place right now and the idea of getting healthy feels completely overwhelming — start here.
Just walk. Thirty minutes. Outside if possible. Six days a week if you can.
Do not worry about pace. Do not worry about distance. Do not worry about what it looks like. Just move forward.
Your body will begin to heal. Your mind will begin to clear. Your spirit will find room to breathe.
One walk at a time.
That is Health under The WHAT. And it starts the moment you open the door.
“For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, “Eat and drink!” But his heart is not with you.”
Proverbs 23:7 NASB1995
Training - athletic and life development.
Traiing is the bridge between where you are and where you are meant to be. Most people think training is only for athletes. But every perso alive is in training for something - a better life, a stronger mind, a healthier body, a deeper faith.
Training is simply the daily disciplie of becoming.
True training develops more than your body. It develops you character. Your resilience. Your faith. Your future.
The coaching principle that applies to everyone.
I tell my athletes this all the time —
'You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your training.'
That principle does not just apply on the field.
It applies in the bedroom. It applies in the mind. It applies in every area of life where you want to perform at your best.
If you want to sleep better — train for it. If you want to think clearer — train for it.
If you want to feel healthier — train for it.
Training is not just what you do in a gym.
Training is what you do every day — intentionally — to become a better version of yourself.
That is what The WHAT is about.
Not just building faster athletes.
Building stronger human beings.
One intentional daily practice at a time.
“And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.”
I Corinthians 9:25-27 NKJV
*Before you read my story I want you to know something important.*
This platform was never created to debate. It was never created to tell you that my way
is the only way or that my truth is your truth.
This is a platform for men. Let's Talk About The WHAT exists for one reason only - To share my story.
What I experienced. What I felt. What I walked through. What brought me back.
My hope is simple — that somewhere in my story you find a piece of your own. That something I share connects with
something you are carrying. That my journey gives you permission to believe that your journey is not over.
I am not a therapist. I am not a psychologist. I am not a medical professional giving advice.
I am a man who went through something dark and came out the other side
And I believe that story is worth telling.
If my truth encourages even one person to hold on one more day — to choose life over darkness — to cry out to God
when they have nothing left — then every word on this platform is worth it.
This is not my pulpit. This is my testimony.
Come as you are. Stay as long as you need. Take what helps you and leave the rest.
You are welcome here.
