Diabetes Prevention

THE FACT:

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention — 96 million American adults have prediabetes. That is 1 in 3 people. And more than 80% of them do not know it.

THE POWERFUL TRUTH BEHIND THAT NUMBER:

Prediabetes is not a life sentence.

Research shows that losing just 5-7% of your body weight and getting 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week can reduce your risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by 58%.

That is more than half.

Through lifestyle changes alone.

No medication required.

WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE IN REAL LIFE:

- A 30 minute walk 5 days a week

- Choosing vegetables before carbohydrates at every meal

- Drinking water instead of sugary drinks

- Building lean muscle through consistent strength training

- Getting 7-9 hours of restful sleep every night

I know this firsthand.

My A1C dropped from 6.3 to 5.7 through these exact lifestyle changes.

Your body can respond the same way.

There's an old oddage that says 'you are what you eat.' Food is fuel and building blocks for our body.  I believe the body is capable of healing itself if we will give it the proper rest, recovery and nutrients it needs. That has been just one of the many focuses for myself. To properly fuel my body and to work on my sleep hygiene.

HEALTH IN ACTION

Eating for Your Blood Type

One of the most intentional changes I have made in my health journey recently is changing not just what I eat — but eating according to my blood type.

The concept is simple.

Different blood types process food differently. What nourishes one person may cause inflammation in another. What one body absorbs efficiently another body struggles to process at all.

For me the goal was clear.

Cut inflammation.
Reduce congestion.
Give my body food it was actually designed to thrive on.

So I started paying attention.

Removing foods that research suggests work against my blood type. Adding foods that support it. Being intentional about every meal not just in terms of calories or macros — but in terms of what my specific body needs to function at its best.

The results have been noticeable.

Less inflammation in my body.
Reduced congestion that had become almost normal to me.
More energy from the food I eat.
A body that feels like it is working with me instead of against me.

This is what Health under The WHAT looks like in real life.

Not a perfect diet.
Not an extreme program.
Just intentional daily choices based on what my specific body needs.

Your body is unique.
Feed it that way.

A Note From Coach Tillman:

*Before you read my story I want you to know something important.*

This platform was never created to debate. It was never created to tell you that my way

is the only way or that my truth is your truth.

This platform is for men. Let's Talk About The WHAT exists for one reason only - To share my story.

What I experienced. What I felt. What I walked through. What brought me back.

My hope is simple — that somewhere in my story you find a piece of your own. That something I share connects with

something you are carrying. That my journey gives you permission to believe that your journey is not over.

I am not a therapist. I am not a psychologist. I am not a medical professional giving advice.

I am a man who went through something dark and came out the other side

And I believe that story is worth telling.

If my truth encourages even one person to hold on one more day — to choose life over darkness — to cry out to God

when they have nothing left — then every word on this platform is worth it.

This is not my pulpit. This is my testimony.

Come as you are. Stay as long as you need. Take what helps you and leave the rest.

You are welcome here.
